Missionary Support Program

The Church in Pakistan has many needs. Believers there are usually poor because it is not illegal in Muslim countries to discriminate against Christians. Believers often lose their jobs when they choose to follow Christ. Quite often they are also openly persecuted, even to the point of death. In 1997 an entire village of 1500 Christian homes, 13 churches, and thousands of Bibles were destroyed by an angry mob over a simple rumor that one of the Christians had torn the pages of the Quran (the Muslim holy book). But praise God; for such hardships have only fueled the Church’s growth in Pakistan, and today those 13 churches have grown to over 50, Bible College, Jesus heals Medical Clinic and supporting the poor children with their school fees.

However, because of their hardships these believers need help from their Christian family in the West. Did you know that for as little as $50 you can meet the entire needs of a Pakistani pastor and his family in a rural area for an entire month? This same monthly amount can also provide for the tuition, fees, books and living expenses for a student at Faith Covenant Bible School, where devout believers receive Bible training to pastor the growing number of churches. The need for such training is great, because many pastors today serve several churches! The need is also great for pastors in the influential urban settings where it costs more to live. Can you imagine trying to live on $50 a month, or supporting a western missionary for even the $100 per month it costs for a Pakistani pastor to live in a city?

Would you consider taking on the financial responsibility for one of these Christian soldiers? As the Church continues to grow in Pakistan, there is also a great need for financial assistance in the building of churches. An entire church serving nearly 200 people can be built in a village area for approximately $20,000; approximate costs for a church in a city area are about $50,000. Again, can you imagine building an entire church for only $20,000 or $50,000? Some people think nothing of spending that on an annual vacation or automobile upgrade. Think about the eternal treasure of saved souls to be laid up in heaven by investing some of your material wealth in God’s kingdom!

Pastor Support Program

The Church in Pakistan is growing despite ongoing persecution of Christians. Those who chose to leave Islam and become Christ followers are often rejected by their families and communities. Believers often lose their jobs and are openly persecuted, even to the point of death. In 1997 an entire village of 1500 Christian homes, 13 churches, and thousands of Bibles were destroyed by an angry mob over a simple rumor that one of the Christians had torn the pages of the Quran (the Muslim holy book).

But praise God, for such hardships have only fueled the Church’s growth in Pakistan, and today those 13 churches have grown to over 100, a Bible College, the Jesus Heals Medical Clinic and a school fees support program for the poor children. An traveling evangelistic team is being formed to travel throughout Pakistan, using the Jesus film and other resources to shine the light of Christ into villages that have never had an opportunity to know about Him.

Pastor Mujahid el Masih lived in that Pakistani village destroyed by Muslim radicals in 1997. In 1999, the Lord moved him, his wife and two children to the United States. He has been traveling throughout our country teaching the truth of Islam, sharing his testimony and representing Voice of the Martyrs. He preaches/speaks in churches, schools, etc. every week, while also overseeing the ministry of Faith Covenant International in Pakistan.

Pastor Masih and FCI are trusting God to raise up prayer and financial partners here in the United States who will stand with brothers and sisters in Pakistan. Prayer support is so important, as believers daily face persecution while also struggling to provide for their families and congregations. Financial support enables Pastor Masih to continue teaching and preaching, and the work of FCI to continue and expand.
